Timely Encouragement

by | Mar 30, 2012 | Ramblings

After my post last evening, I felt encouraged. Writing it helped me take my focus off all that was surrounding me, and helped me put it where it needed to be.

God always seems to provide encouragement just when I need it from others. Tina, my bestie, encouraged me on the phone today…in the middle of her vacation. I received a card in the mail today from a friend of mine in Bible Study Fellowship. It was beautiful…and brought me to tears.

The front read “You’re making a difference one life at a time.” The inside…”Praying God will continue to encourage your heart, bless your life, and fill you with His love as you serve Him.”

The scripture written inside was from 2 Corinthians 9:12…”This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.”

She wrote something beautiful and personal to me and thanked me for listening to God’s call.

Beautiful. Simply beautiful. She touched my heart.

And I find it no coincidence that I’ve been thanking God, especially recently, for this call He has placed on my life. It’s an unbelievable honor to be called to do the work I get to do at Mission of Hope!

What great and timely encouragement I received today! Thank you, Lord!
