Ready, Set, GO!

by | Mar 6, 2011 | God, me, sermons

I am about to walk out of my office this morning and finish getting ready for my day.

I have prayed.  I have listened.  I have been inspired.  I have prepared.  I have sat at my computer for hours working.  I have fine-tuned, and double and triple-checked my words.  I am ready.

My message for Mission of Hope’s worship service is ready.  And I’m asking God to do what He desires with it.  I know without a doubt this isn’t MY message, it’s HIS…because Friday morning when I sat down at my computer, after spending time reading God’s Word, the subject and the words came flowing to and through me.  What an amazing experience it is to have God give you word after word, as you prepare to share about Him and share your experiences through Him!

I’m ready, and I’m excited.  I always get nervous before I speak, but each time is a little less.  And what is there to be nervous about anyway?  God gave me the words, and He’ll help me deliver them.  (That’s my prayer as well.)  These words are the ones He wants those in attendance to hear.

It’s time to leave the comforts of my office, and get myself physically ready for the day.  The next tough thing to do is to decide what I’m going to wear today! 🙂  We’ll stop off at Ali’s first volleyball game this morning before church, go to church and give God’s message, then return back to volleyball.  It’s going to be a great day!

May God be glorified through me today in everything I think, do and say!  I will update you later! 🙂
