Through My Window

by | Mar 13, 2014 | God

I stood at my kitchen window this morning, watching it happen…

Watching one of the most beautiful sunrises I’ve ever seen form before my eyes…

As the eastern sky began to light up with hues of yellow and orange…

I expected to see something beautiful…

But nothing quite this breathtaking…

Truly, it about took my breath away as I stared at it through my window.

And just as quickly as they appeared, in a matter of minutes, the reds, oranges and yellows began to fade and disappear. Still standing at my window, I was in awe at what God just allowed me to behold. As funny as it sounds, I felt He encouraged me through the beautiful progression of scenes, right in front of my eyes.

Then Psalm 19:1 ran through my mind…

“The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”

Wouldn’t you agree with me that the skies proclaimed the work of His hands this morning? They do every day.

Friend, may this encourage you today too. If God can make a sky look that amazing and beautiful, He can make your life and mine amazing and beautiful. If you’re going through a rough patch in your life, cling to this encouragement. He’s not done with you. Scene by scene, He’s making you into a work of art. He’s given us His Son, Jesus, who is with us every moment of every day. With Jesus, you will never, ever be alone. Rest in that truth tonight, my friend.

God bless you!

      Ellen, it was beautiful. One of the most beautiful things I think I’ve ever seen. God is so good to us…allowing us to see the beauty He creates! I hope you are doing well today!

    So beautiful. As I was walking through the house this morning the sunrise stopped me in my tracks. I walked outside to get a better look; ran back in because the view was better from inside. It felt like God gave me a hug!

      And I missed this morning’s sunset, as I chose to sleep in! Thanks Marcia for sharing the “hug” you received through it! Love you, friend!
