How do you begin your day? Because this matters, maybe more than we think it does. Mainly because each day matters. In this episode we pause to ponder our morning routines, and I share what I do to begin my day encouraged. I pray this episode encourages and inspires you in your own routine.
I love mornings.
And I think I always have, at least for as long as I can remember. Except for maybe my first semester in college when I worked in the cafeteria, clocking in by 6 a.m., to help pay for my tuition. I did not love mornings then as I was cracking eggs and making donuts, donning a white paper hat.
But other than that season, I do like my mornings. Maybe you don’t, and that’s okay. But no matter if we like them or not, we have a choice in how we begin each day, encouraged or discouraged.
Because the tone of the morning sets the tone of the day. And not only the tone of your day and mine, but it affects the tone the day for those around us.
I share my experience of that when my children were young and still living under our roof, and also how my mother set the tone each morning for my day when I was young. I believe you’ll appreciate the bacon and eggs story. You might just love my mom a little more through this episode and appreciate the kind of woman and mother she was. (She set the bar high for me!)
It matters to begin the day encouraged.
I share seven ways how to begin your day encouraged, based off my current morning routine. A few may surprise you, one having to do with lemon water!

God bless you!
