Privileged to Exercise

by | Nov 6, 2012 | health, thankfulness

Today was the first day in a week that I’ve been able to get some serious exercise. And I’m so thankful I was able to!

As I did a combination of running and walking on our treadmill, I became increasingly more thankful that I was on that thing…as I listened to my Mercy Me playlists and thanked God in the process. I thanked Him that I had a body that can exercise, that my legs are able to run, that my heart and lungs function normally. I thanked Him for my eyes, my ears and every other part of my body.

There’s many people who would give any thing to run, or to even walk. And why does God bless me and allow me the privilege to do both?

I know I’m so blessed. I’m so very thankful tonight.

And as I pushed through the last half-mile of my two mile jaunt, I felt like I crossed the finish line first, with my arms lifted up in triumph. I guess, in a way, I did! šŸ™‚
