Being Thankful on a Friday Night

by | Sep 24, 2011 | This Lefe Family

Oh how fast a week can fly by!  I can’t believe it’s been almost a week since my last post!

It’s Friday night and I’m relaxing at  home…thankfully.  I really enjoy my “home time” these days.  My dinner consisted of snack mix tonight, and I’m ok with that.  Bill had about the same.  I fixed leftover lasagna for Ali after she arrived home from practice (she’s still grounded).  Zach is at the school football game tonight.  It’s movie night for those of us who are home. 🙂

Some highlights from our week…

Zach had a soccer game Sunday afternoon in the rain.  He and his team played great.  I still can’t seem to get used to them in yellow and blue uniforms, when they always used to wear orange and white.

Ali played well Tuesday night at their home volleyball game.  She played on the J.V. team.  She told me last night she has figured out how to put her hip back into place when she feels it going out.  I continue to pray for God’s healing and pray that she’ll be able to finish her Senior season strong.

I finished our summer photo book on Wednesday, and I’m happy to say I got it for free with a special offer from Shutterfly!  Along with the photo book, I also ordered our family Christmas cards through Shutterfly.  I know…it’s quite early.  But I made them a month ago, and saved them to wait for a special.  Saved money with them too! 🙂

Last night I had a wonderful appointment with my hair stylist, Tracy.  We added some high lights and low lights and cut three inches off!  It’s a totally new style…and I love it!

I am looking forward to spending time with my family this weekend!  I hope you had a great week too!
