We can let almost anything try to tell us who we are.
Even a silly pair of shorts, as I shared in yesterday’s post.
Who or what are we listening to regarding our status, our worth, our image, and who we are?
- Others’ opinions of us?
- Circumstances and situations?
- The scale in the bathroom?
- The mirror?
- What our parents said about us?
- Our grades?
- Our accomplishments or failures?
- The car we drive or the things we own?
- The size of our house?
- Our attitude?
- The little voice in our own head?
Why do we allow these things to have any sort of influence in our lives?? Not one of them truly reflects who we are. Not. One.
What truly matters is who we are in God’s eyes, and what God says about us.
After searching and studying scriptures, I came up with a personal list of who God says we are in Him. May it bless your heart today.

Rejoicing in the truth of God’s Word,
Julie

Love this, Julie! Something I have to remind myself everyday-that I am who God says I am, no who others say I am. I’m going to bookmark this so I can write some of these verses down. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
That’s for sure, Abby. I struggle with that often, and as I was last week, that prompted me to create that list. It was refreshing to ponder on who God says I am from His Word! I pray it blesses you too! Have a great Tuesday!
Thanks so much! We all need encouragement and I feel it is best when we know who God says we are; then we are no longer looking for validation from others and are comparing ourselves to others. We are no longer allowing the enemy to tell us what and not who we are. Thanks again for putting this list together! I needed this this morning! Have a great blessed day and week!
I’m grateful this encouraged you! I’m glad God sees me in ways I don’t sometimes even see myself. Thanks for being here and for sharing your thoughts with me. I appreciate you!
Thanks for sharing this powerful information about who I am in Jesus Christ. I had a discussion with some believers recently and they were saying that they are not free.
This is great for affirmation. I speak these out loud and Say I Am in stead of you are. Thank you so much for your obedience to God.
I really needed this.
It gives us confidence in who we are and over insurecuritie
It sure does! Thanks for your comment. God bless you!
Fantastic! May God bless you always!
Thank you for your comment. God bless you!
This renewed my faith after many years of second guessing God’s love for me.
I’m so grateful God put this in front of you right when you needed it most. He loves you so much. Have a great week!
