5 Truths Of Who You Are

by | Jan 27, 2015 | Love Others

Who are you?

A mom, a wife, a corporate executive, a writer?

A friend, a brother, a daughter, a coffee drinker?

Me?

I’m a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend.

I’m also a writer, who loves coffee and sunrises and sunsets.

But friend, you and I are so much more than these.

You are so much more than you think you are.

Let’s take a look:

5 Truths of Who You Are

5 Truths of Who You Are

(From God’s Word)

1. You are worthy.

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Matthew 10:29-31

2. You are made in His image.

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:26-27

3. You are favored and honored.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Psalm 84:11

4. You are unique and excellent.

For You shaped me, inside and out. You knitted me together in my mother’s womb long before I took my first breath. I will offer You my grateful heart, for I am Your unique creation, filled with wonder and awe. You have approached even the smallest details with excellence; Your works are wonderful; I carry this knowledge deep within my soul. Psalm 139:13-14

5. You are chosen, holy and dearly loved.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12

Can you add to this list? I’d love to read any other scriptures you are reminded of, or any others you claim for yourself today. Let’s encourage one another from God’s Word.

You are more than you think you are. Allow God, Himself to remind you of who you are truly are today.

Blessings!

Julie

What a pleasure it is to link up with friends Holly and Kelly today. You’ll find much encouragement there, too!

Hebrews 13:5 came to my mine. I am not abandoned or forsaken. That means I am not alone. Even when I feel like I am.

Thank you for the encouragement. I will rest in the 5 truths you shared. May you know you are never alone because God will never leave nor forsake you.

Well, not a Scripture…but this does help me during the worst times:

“I can beat any man in any land at any game that he can name for any amount that he can count.”

I have to keep myself sparky and motivated, because morale is taking a beating these days. Scripture works for setting the baseline, but to get over the daily, and sometimes hourly mountains in my day, I need some undiluted arrogance.

Undiluted arrogance. I don’t think I’ve ever thought of those words together before. Makes sense though! Some days we need whatever it takes to make it through. Glad you are finding the ways to get through the mountains in your day!

I like to think of myself as a princess–after all, what girl (or woman) doesn’t secretly desire princess status? My Father is the king of kings, so, well, I’m a princess!
