Warm Brownie Night

by | Jul 11, 2013 | This Lefe Family

A Plate Of Chocolate Brownies And A Cup Of CoffeeIt was a priceless evening for me. Both kids home. Bill home. That hasn’t happened in a very long time. We baked brownies and ate them warm at 9:40pm. Priceless memories!

We got to reminiscing about when the kids were much younger… when Alissa ran away from home when she was maybe 5 years old. She got to the edge of the driveway before turning back. šŸ™‚

And also about the time she ran away from school in 2nd Grade. We could laugh at these now. She couldn’t recall either event, but Bill and I sure could.

Then it dawned on me. Alissa moves out in three weeks. My heart is burdened, yet excited for her, all at the same time. This could be the toughest experience I go through yet. On second thought, probably not…I’ve gone through tougher.

But it will be difficult for me to let her go. I will always be her momma, and she will always be my little girl. She’ll spread her wings and I’ll watch her soar!

I would appreciate your prayers and encouragement through this transition, friends!
