Saturday Wrap-up

by | May 11, 2013 | family, me, schedule, spring

It’s a beautiful morning. And it’s Saturday!

I can’t believe I’ve had no time to write a post here since Monday. But wait…I guess I can believe it with how very full our lives have been this week. I’m thankful and grateful. And after today’s speaking engagement, I can rest. (Sigh.)

I’m honored to be speaking at a women’s luncheon at a local church today. It’s about friendships with mothers, daughters and friends. I pray for God’s anointing this morning and for the Holy Spirit to fill me. I desire to encourage the women whom are there today.

As I look back over the week, it was a great week. (I’ll post some pictures later.) We won three soccer games, and Zach played great. Day of Caring which I put much time and effort into at the Mission was completed on Thursday. Senior Night for soccer, which was my responsibility, was last night, and I think the Seniors felt honored and appreciated. Ali has been working hard on schoolwork and finishing her first year of college strong–and it has been good to encourage her and do what I can to uplift her. Bill and I have been able to spend a lot of time together this week in among all the activities and responsibilities, and that’s been a gift to me.

But I’m looking forward to some rest. I’m going on about six hours of sleep each night, and I just don’t function well on that for very long. I’m thinking tonight I’ll sleep like a baby. 🙂

I’ll write more later. But until then, have a beautiful day!
