Living With No Regrets: #bestsummerever

by | May 30, 2016 | personal journey

We’ve experienced some amazing summers.

Ones filled with fond memories of special moments, fun times, and memorable occasions. Never-to-forget family vacations. Precious one-of-a-kind experiences. Blessing after blessing. And laughter. Lots of laughter. I smile when I think back to them. It’s doubtful we could ever top them, even if we attempted to do so.

Even so, I’m determined to try.

I never want to be found sleepwalking through this life I’ve been given. Never. Through this year’s Bible Study Fellowship study, I became very aware of the truth of how we live this life, matters in the next. What we do today, makes a difference for eternity.

I desire to make the most of each day.

But some days that’s easier said than done. Some days I find I’m weary, and tired, and discouraged. Some days I don’t make the most of the 24 hours I’m given. Some days I waste, and wander, and life seems to pass me by.

I don’t want life to pass me by.

Recently I’ve experienced a number of life-awakening moments. So much so, they’ve motivated me to welcome a fresh mindset. One that embraces not only making the most of each moment of each day, but prompts me to examine what impact I’m making in the world around me.

Am I really making a difference?

Am I really living in each moment?

Am I loving God and loving others, all the time?

Am I making the most of the minutes/hours/days I’ve been given?

Am I following God’s lead in this adventure with Him?

Am I living a real, transparent life, one where others can see the real me?

Am living life with no regrets?

That last one is a big one.

At the end of my life, I want there to be no regrets.

Psalm 90:12 Live with no regrets.

Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should. Psalm 90:12 TLB

Today, Memorial Day, is the unofficial start of summer. We have 99 days until Labor Day. Friend, what will you and I do in these 99 days that are before us? What difference can we make in this world? Whose lives will be impacted by our presence? How can we live with no regrets?

Let’s make this the #bestsummerever!

If you follow me on social media, you’ll be seeing this hashtag in my posts, my pics, my tweets, and my snaps. I desire to make it the #bestsummerever, and I’ll share with you as I go. I’d love for you to do the same.

Living boldly. Loving fully. Making a difference. Regretting nothing.

What is one thing you and I can do to make it the #bestsummerever?

As we go about our Memorial Day activities, may we remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in fighting for our country and the freedom we enjoy today. May we be mindful of their families, and pray for God to comfort them. We have not forgotten.
