I Saw God Today

In the last few months, I’ve become a country music fan…not a huge fan, but a growing one. I’m finding many country artists sing about subjects I can relate to…many of them are about God. This song I’m referring to is by George Strait…I Saw God Today. The song talks about how he’s seen God’s glory in that one particular day, and how he slowed down to notice. (This song won the Single of the Year Award at the Country Music Awards in November.) When was the last time we’ve seen, or have taken time to notice God’s glory? It truly is all around us if we look.

I saw God in a number of things today…my children’s smiles, my niece’s almost four year old innocence, in a lady who was in our discussion group at BSF and how she answered her questions, the sparkling snow flurries as they were falling from the sky, my husband’s kind words to me, and through a phone message my friend Steve left me today. (Every time I see Steve or hear from him, I’m reminded of God’s goodness!) I’m sure there were many more things today that I missed, unfortunately. Where did you see God today?
