Giving Thanks – Days 17 & 18

by | Nov 20, 2010 | Faith, This Lefe Family

I am so thankful for my children, Ali and Zach.  I can’t imagine my life without them.

Ali is growing up to be a beautiful young woman on the inside and out, is dependable, loving, loves the Lord, wants to do what’s right, and has a heart for others.  Her smile melts me.  Her eyes are full love joy and life.  Once she sets her mind to do something, she does it.  She has an independent side to her, which reminds me of her mother. 🙂  She’s growing up right before my eyes (and quickly, I might add), and I couldn’t be more proud of her.  She has been so responsible as she has new roles in her life.  I understand that another authority figure in her life has encouraged her recently in saying he appreciates her enthusiasm, her energy and her hard work and determination.  That describes our Ali.  I love her heart.  I love what God is doing in her life, and how she has responded to that.  I love how she is making choices that honor God!  I love my Ali-girl and am so very thankful for her!

Zach is becoming quite a handsome young man himself.  He is caring, responsible, loving, likes to please others, has a heart for animals, and loves the Lord.  He seems to have his dad’s sense of humor, he loves soccer and it good at it, and he enjoys spending the day in his “jammies” when he can. 🙂  Zach rarely argues with his parents, or with anyone else for that matter.  He is so respectful to others.  He earned the Pride award at school this month, which is an award nominated and voted on by teachers.  He earned it last year, and now this year.  On his mid-term report card, a couple teachers commented how Zach is a joy to have in class.  I am so completely proud of him!  God is doing some pretty awesome things in Zach’s heart and life right now.  I’m excited to see what God has for him in his future!  I love my Z-Man and am so very thankful for him!

God has given Bill and I two wonderful gifts…our children.  They are the most incredible children!  They amaze me, they humble me, they help me grow, and they bless me.  It’s an honor to be their mother.  Thank you, God for Ali and Zach.  I will forever be grateful to You for them!
