I love football season.
Mainly because I love sitting with Zach watching football on Sundays.
This is something we’ve done together for three or four years now. That’s what we’re doing tonight. He’s turned me into a football fan! This year I’ve purchased a few Colts clothing items, and today, I’m proudly wearing one of my new t-shirts. And we’re excited for next week, as we’ll get to attend our first NFL game!
The funny thing is, I’ve never, ever attended a high school football game. Ever. My high school didn’t have football, and I never attended one while Ali was in high school. Maybe I’ll go to one while Zach is still there…maybe.
These times with Zach are priceless to me. I realize that I might only have two years of these Sundays left with him before he leaves home after he graduates from high school. I’ll cherish each one of them…even when we see the same Audi commercial (where the woman puts diesel in her tank) three times in the last 15 minutes. 🙂 And I look forward to being by his side as he takes in the experience of watching his team play live next week!
