Happy October 1st!
I need to go to bed…
but I can’t seem shut my brain down.
I enjoyed a wonderful morning of being with my fellow leaders at BSF for our leaders’ meeting. It’s always an uplifting and inspiring couple of hours. We seek God and desire to serve Him with excellence together. I find it pretty incredible each Monday.
I was able to connect with my best friend, Tina for an hour or so in the parking lot of the church, sitting in her van after the meeting. There’s nothing like reconnecting with her. Even just a few days away from each other leaves a void in our lives. I’m so thankful for her tonight…and every night.
I worked most of the day on soccer details. Final paperwork for State Cup in a few weeks is submitted. (Thank you, Lord!) We’ll be traveling soon for a couple more soccer tournaments. I’m thankful that paperwork is completed, and I can move on to the next thing.
I worked on Mary Kay orders today. I’m so thankful for my customers. Many I’ve had for double-digit years. I’m grateful for each one. I’m also thankful for the unit that allows me to support and encourage them as their director. Each consultant in our group is a blessing.
I also worked on Mission of Hope items…things that couldn’t wait until tomorrow.
I went for my evening run before dinner. I’ve missed that! Beautiful sunset again and beautiful running weather!
And I’ve done lots of laundry, made a tasty chicken tortellini soup for dinner, baked brownies for my family tonight, and spent some quality time with each one.
Wow…after re-reading this list, I should be exhausted! I’ll turn out the lights, turn off the distractions, and see if sleep will come to me. I’m thankful for today. I’m thankful for my family. I’m thankful that God allows me to do all I get to do!
