by | Aug 7, 2013 | family, grieving

My father was a pretty incredible man. I knew that as a young adult, but as I’ve matured, I’ve been brought to that reality more and more. There really was no one like him, nor will there ever be.

He passed away fourteen years ago today. And on this day, I miss him more than the other days of the year…all but maybe except for his birthday.
In trying to figure out what I would say to honor dad and to share memories about him, I looked back at my 2010 and 2012 posts on this day. And I came to the conclusion that what I wrote in those posts are perfect for today too. I won’t try to outdo them.

If you’ve lost someone that you love in death, you probably are very familiar with some of the feelings I’m experiencing today. But it’s good to remember this life isn’t the end. There’s an eternity waiting for us and it will be glorious! I look forward with anticipation to the day I get to see Dad again! 🙂
