Flourish where you are. Are you doing this? Last week we kicked off this new series of Bloom Where You’re Planted, and we took a deep dive into what God may be doing in the seasons before blooming. Today we pause to appreciate the growth God is doing right where we are. It might not be where we expected or where we want to be, but it’s where God has us. We know His plans are best and we remind ourselves of this truth. Friend, don’t miss what’s growing in you right now, right here.

Flowers are beautiful this time of year, aren’t they? If each one is cared for, it does what it’s designed to do. It blooms. Right where it’s planted. It doesn’t wish it was someplace else, nor does it wish to be something else. It’s just happy to bloom.
What about us? Are we happy to bloom–in our current circumstances?
Are you happy to flourish where you are?
Am I?
Don’t we sometimes wish we were planted elsewhere? Or that we were designed differently… maybe like someone else? One thing I’ve never seen or heard a flower do is compare itself to another. It just blooms. What if we simply did the same?
God has us right where He wants us. He knows what’s best for us, in what conditions and situations we’ll thrive and grow to our fullest potential. And the thing about Him is? He won’t give us anything less than His best. (Even when our ideas of best may be different than His!)
God is using us right where He has us.
Friend, He is blooming good things in you right now.
I share about a quiet season in my life that prepared me for the blooming season I’m in now. Sometimes we have an idea in our minds what blooming is supposed to look like. When we aren’t blooming in that way, we think we’re not blooming at all. But in reality, God is already at working blooming us in ways we may miss if we’re not paying attention or if we’re looking for something else.

Friend, you’re not blooming too slowly. You’re not behind. You are exactly where God has planted you—and while you bloom, He is with you.
