The last week and a half have really seemed like summer! The weather has been hot and humid, with temperatures reaching into the upper 90’s! My flowers are looking beautiful in my pots and flower beds (with a few weeds). We’ve had a few tornado watches and warnings within the last week in our area. And I’ve enjoyed my morning walks outside on the gravel roads! But the thing that makes it seem like summer the most to me are baseball games!
I grew up playing softball and my brother Pat played baseball. He reminds me he pitched a no-hitter once in Pony League, but I remind him that I pitched TWO my junior year in high school! š Summer for me was all about playing ball! Within the last week we have enjoyed going to my three nephews’ baseball games. How fun it has been for me!
We have gone to two of Bennett’s (my Godson’s) games. He is seven and plays Tee-ball. At his first game he hit a homerun and a double! He’s a good little ball player! He usually hits the first pitch that’s thrown to him. It’s so fun to watch him!
His older brother Patrick, who’s nine, plays Little League ball. The game we went to Patrick played 2nd base and had a great pop-fly catch! He’s a good hitter and a fast runner! It’s fun to hear him encourage his teammates!
