201. Summer of Abundance Week 1: You Are Who He Says You Are

Welcome to the first episode of the Summer of Abundance series! I’m so glad you’re here. This summer we’re stepping into a 12-week journey toward living the full and joy-filled life God has for us. Each week, we’ll look at one key element of abundant living—rooted in God’s Word and relevant to our real lives. Today we begin with the truth you are who He says you are.

I ask you today, who do you say you are?

We tend to label ourselves by our positions in life and our work, don’t we? But we are much more than these labels–these words. A word or a group of words really can’t adequately define who you and I are, can they? But we try to do so with them.

But the bigger, more important question is this: Who does God say I am?

Bottom line, this is what truly matters. This is our true identity.

I am who He says I am. And you are who He says you are.

This is the truth we begin with in this series, and it’s the first element of abundant life: our identity in Christ.

Here’s one way you can apply the truth of you are who He says you are:

Take the truth from Psalm 139:14 and insert your name.

“I, [Name], am God’s masterpiece. I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Repeat it often today and all week long. Write it on a sticky note and place it where you’ll see it. Believe it friend, because it’s true.
