Peace After the Meltdown

Whew!  I’m glad that’s over!

Sunday I had what I call my annual Christmas meltdown.  Bill reminded me on Monday that I usually have one each year, and this year’s seem to come later than last year.  As you can read from Sunday’s post…I was exhausted, overwhelmed and feeling at my end.  As I wrote about and walked through it all, I began to feel better and be reminded what Christmas is all about. 🙂

And I’ve been at peace ever since.

Bill and I finished our shopping on Monday and had a wonderful day together.  Spending time with him, as the snowflakes were falling from the sky, really put me in the Christmas spirit.  It was a day I won’t soon forget.

As we are just three days from Christmas, I am feeling so blessed.  God has really blessed our family.  He has taken care of us in more ways that I could have expected this year.  I have felt His love, His presence and His peace…I’m so very thankful.

Today I’ll be spending the day with my children, Bill, many friends, acquaintances and co-workers at Mission of Hope as we prepare for our annual Christmas Basket Giveaway and Party which happens this afternoon.  We’ll get the privilege of seeing God work through the little–and big–things today at the Mission.  I’m excited with anticipation!  I’ll be posting pictures and the story of it later!

May God bless you today! Merry Christmas!
