Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas…it’s more than just a festive holiday. It’s more than just hurrying, partying, “santa-ing,” shopping, and all else that’s associated with the Christmas season. Don’t get me wrong…I love to find the perfect gift for my loved ones…it really feels like I’m showing them just how much I love them. I love celebrating Christmas with friends and family. I love the mistletoe, the sleigh bells, Christmas songs, etc. I really love Christmas!

However, I was reminded last evening at the Christmas Eve service we attended at Tina’s church with her and her family, that we don’t want to miss the birth of the Savior of the world today. We don’t want to be so busy that we forget why we celebrate Christmas in the first place.

Each year in Bible Study Fellowship, we are given a valuable piece of paper during Christmastime. It’s called, “How to teach your child the Christmas story.” I use it every year. Pull out your Bible, or go to http://www.biblegateway.com/ to look up these scripture verses to learn and be reminded of this amazing story. Do it for your family. Do it for yourself. Your Christmas will take on a whole new meaning…this I promise you! šŸ™‚
