Love Note To My Lefe’s – June 2015

by | Jul 6, 2015 | This Lefe Family

It’s six days past due…

My monthly love note to my family.

It’s a joy to think back over the last 30 days or so. I do this at the end of each month, and attempt to pause time for a few moments to share the memories our family made together. It also gives me an opportunity to remind the three I am privileged to journey through life with, just how much they mean to me.

I walk away each month reminded how very blessed I am.

This one is no different.

June 2015 Collage

To the three I am wife and mom to:

Just in case you have forgotten today, allow me remind you how very much I love you.

June flew passed us, didn’t it?

It seems like three days ago it started, and now it’s behind us.

I’m guessing each remaining month of 2015 will do the same.

Just a few days into June we were experiencing Zach’s soccer state tournament game, then college orientation. Dad’s birthday, and then Father’s Day. Alissa looking at condos, and getting a new job. Friday nights at the races. Biking… day and night. (I’m sure I’m forgetting something important. But that’s nothing new, is it??)

Goodness, we have fun together!

Alissa, you continue to amaze me. You are incredibly talented, smart, and driven. You are far ahead of me when I was your age in so many ways. I am proud of who you are, and am excited for your future! I’ve said it many times… God has big plans for your life. Keep your attention turned to Him. He wants you to walk hand-in-hand with Him. There you’ll find everything you need for a wonderful life! Thank you for continuing to make your family a priority. It blesses me so each time you come “home.” (Please do it often this month!) You’re the best girl, and I love you so much!

Zach, I am enjoying our times together at home this summer. (I still have much to teach you before college, so get ready!) It was so exciting to watch you in the soccer state tournament, Buddy. You again played your heart out. What an experience for you! College orientation is behind you, and you are one step closer to your future! God has great things ahead, and He’s with you every step of the way. Keep looking to Him, and seeking His will for your life. You’re never alone. I’m proud of you for the young man you are, and for the choices you are making. You’re the best son, and I love you so much!

Bill, I never dreamt this bicycle-built-for-two-thing would be so fun, but here we are again preparing for another RAGBRAI. Thank you for all you do to make sure I’m “comfortable” while out biking, and for putting up with the “squeak” on the back. I’m looking forward to experiencing another week across the state with you. I appreciate all you do for us, how you take care of us, and how you continually make us your priority. You’re a fantastic father, a wonderful husband, and an all around great guy! I’m honored to be your wife. I love you so very much!

I pray for each of you daily. May God continue to bless us, to protect us, to guide us, and to draw us closer to Him every day. I pray we are a family who makes Him smile.

All my love, to the moon and back,

Mom & Julie

After praying in my war room “my room in my house”, I came across a quote that I saw at the movies”the intern.” It’s never wrong to do the right thing”. I was curious on who wrote it and I stumble across your name! After reviewing your inspirational blogs … I feel that I have a sense of a comfortable connection with you. So I. Am requesting to be added to your website. There is no doubt that I have received a blessing this early morning in Florida! May God bless you and your family! Keep up with the good work. It is much needed!
