Love Note To My Lefes – July 2016

by | Aug 7, 2016 | This Lefe Family

I began this blog back in 2007, to have a written account of my life and my family’s life. I desired for it to be something my children could look back on some day, and to maybe share with their own children.

My blog has become so much more than I ever imagined, and in the process of it all, I’ve fallen in love with writing. But those are different stories for a different day.

Each month, however, I continue the tradition of writing a note to my family. I often find I write similar words, to remind them how much I love them, to encourage and support them, to praise and acknowledge them, and continue pointing us all to God and to keep Him as the focus of our family. This month, I thought I’d do something different…

To the three I’m blessed to call family – Bill, Alissa & Zach:

I love you three. So very much. You bring me joy. You make me smile. Being your wife and momma is a gift and honor. I wish I could adequately put into words just how much you mean to me, but each time I try, I can’t seem to accomplish what I set out to do. You truly make my life complete.

I hope you enjoy reading these monthly notes as much as I enjoy writing them. Each month, I tend to write similar words of love, hope, thanks, praise, and encouragement to you. To shake things up, I thought this month I’d do something different… to write out something similar of what I might pray for you on any given day. We know God hears our prayers, as we’ve seen Him answer. We’ve witnessed His faithfulness played out in our lives. Our prayers are important, and they matter. As your wife and momma, I believe lifting you to Him and praying for you daily is the most important thing I can do for you. Here goes…

Father God, I praise you and thank you for the family you’ve blessed me with. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to be Bill’s wife, and Alissa’s & Zach’s mother. Help me to be the wife and mom they need today. Help me to love, honor, encourage, and assist them through Your power and love.

Lord, I thank you for the godly man Bill is. Thank You for blessing me with him as my husband. I ask that You would bless him today. Equip him with all he needs to lead this family in Your ways. Give him wisdom through Your Word, and equip him to be a light for You, wherever You lead him. Continue to help him to be all You desire for him to be. Guide him and bless him in his work, his play, his rest, and in his many roles, namely as husband and father. Give him great joy as he serves You today.

Father, I lift Alissa and Zach up to You. Thank You for the woman and man You’ve grown them up to be. You know them even better than I do. Lord, draw them close to You. Help them put You first in their lives. I pray they live out their faith boldly today, and may they point others to You. Continue to mature them in You, and I pray their relationships, jobs, every part of their lives are blessed because of Your presence. Help them to use the gifts and talents You’ve given them, and help them to be all they can be for Your sake. I ask You to guide them in every decision, and give them Your wisdom.

Lord God, protect our family. Keep us safe from things seen and unseen. Help us to glorify You in every way… with everything we think, say, and do. Help us to keep you in the center of our lives, and the center of our family. Thank You for hearing me, and answering according to Your will. I love and praise You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

It’s an honor to pray for you. I hope this blesses you today.

July was another wonderful month, full of newly-made memories. I look forward to sharing more special times with you, and making more great memories together in August!

Again, I love you so very much!
