It’s special because it’s the first one with a male guest and the first one with my guest recording here in my office next to me. Yes, my guest this month is my husband, Bill Lefebure. We discuss life, love, our imperfect marriage, and how we keep showing up for another other. We offer encouragement to young couples and couples our age, and Bill even shares his perspective on his bicycle accident that I highlighted in Chapter 1 of my book Right Now Matters. I never tire of hearing how God saved his life that day. I pray you are inspired through our words, and I’m grateful I get to share with you the one I call my love of a lifetime.

How are you showing up for your spouse or the people in your life?

The truth that I continue to be reminded of is relationships take time and effort, and somedays it’s not so easy to keep our relationships growing and strong. If you’re in a relationship that’s struggling today, I encourage you to invite God into it. This is something Bill and I have learned over the years which has made not only our marriage stronger, but our relationships with others, too. God equips us to continue to show up for others when we don’t feel we can on our own.

Life is one big tandem adventure with God, isn’t it? When we let Him drive, our journey is much more smooth than when we try to take control. And who is on your team? This is mind shift of being on a “team” has transformed the way I think about relationships. Team Lefebure isn’t just us out there on our tandem bicycle, it’s also us in daily life.
