A Week to Remember

by | May 31, 2010 | This Lefe Family

Last week was a week to remember! Lots of memories were made, and I am thankful it was filled with many of God’s blessings for our family!

On Sunday we were surprised at church by our friends Dave and KB from Las Vegas who were in town for the weekend.  They attended Mission of Hope’s Worship Service with us.  What a wonderful surprise!  I realized last Sunday how very much I miss them, and I can’t wait to see them again!
Ali and I attended my nephew Matt’s high school graduation ceremony Sunday afternoon.  It’s hard to believe Matt has graduated! What a wonderful young man he is!
Our “baby girl” turned 16 on Monday! What a blessing Ali is to me to and our family! She’s beautiful on the inside and out! 🙂
Ali’s friends all met at Gengis Grill after school to celebrate her birthday with her on Monday!
Ali’s last choir concert of this school year was on Monday night.  What a talented singer she is!  The concert was wonderful!

I love our family! 🙂
Zach had his last choir concert of this school year on Tuesday. These young men are talented singers!  (Zach’s in the gray shirt in the middle of the picture.)

Our friends Grace and Olivia spent Wednesday through Saturday with us as Tina went to Florida with her mom.  They are such blessings to us, and we had so much fun with them!
It was a busy and somewhat stressful week at Mission of Hope.  I began a new schedule working there three days this week, and what a difference that made in my schedule!  God is at work there, and it’s a privilege to be a part of His work.
I spent many hours working in our flower beds this week.  Many of these flowers were from Mom’s flower garden…how rewarding and comforting it is for me to see them growing in mine!
Bill and I had “date night” on Friday.  It was enjoyable spending time talking, catching up with each other, and having fun together.  We made plans to renew our wedding vows in August. 🙂
At yesterday’s worship service at Mission of Hope, Pastor Barb announced she is retiring from the Mission, and that Tina is the new Executive Director of Mission of Hope.  It is a privilege for me to “come alongside of her” in this ministry, as God has confirmed that in my heart. I’m honored that God continues to keep Tina and I intertwined in so many ways, and I’m looking forward to this new journey in our lives together.
We had Ali’s family birthday party yesterday, which was a lot of fun spending the afternoon with family!  She’s loved by many!
I am thankful for God’s many blessings in our lives, especially in the ones that were evident this week!  It certainly was a week to remember!
