245. You Were Made for More Than Just Getting Through the Day
In this episode, Julie introduces a brand-new series, You Were Made for More, inspired by the release of her new devotional, Made for More: 365 Devotions for the Woman Who Refuses to Settle.
She begins by naming a quiet but familiar tension many women feel—the sense of loving God, showing up faithfully, and doing all the “right” things, yet still feeling like they’re just getting through their days. Survival mode doesn’t always look dramatic; often, it looks like being responsible, dependable, and completely worn out.
Julie gently reminds listeners that this isn’t failure—it’s a signal. A sign that God is getting your attention. Because abundant life, the kind Jesus speaks about in John 10:10, isn’t about perfect circumstances or an easier life. It’s about a full, rooted life in Him—marked by peace, purpose, joy, and hope, even in the middle of real, messy life.
Through a personal story of overwhelm, grief, and emotional exhaustion, Julie shares how she found herself trying to carry everything alone—until she paused, turned back to Jesus, and allowed Him to meet her in the middle of it all. Her circumstances didn’t instantly change, but her heart did.
This episode is an invitation to stop striving, stop just surviving, and start returning to Jesus in small, daily surrender. You don’t need to overhaul your life—you simply need to bring your tired soul honestly to Him.
If you’ve been feeling disconnected, depleted, or stuck on autopilot, this message is a reminder: you were never meant to live this way.
You were made for more—and that “more” is available to you right now.
