10 Helpful Verses That Encourage Living In Hope Today

by | Nov 15, 2020 | #open2020, Love God

In my last post we discussed predicted upcoming “dark days” and choosing to live in hope in spite of them. I pray it encouraged you as much as it did me. The verses we pondered comforted and inspired my heart to continue living in hope… the hope God has given each one of us.

What is that hope, anyway? Well, Biblical hope, according to John Piper, is a confident expectation and desire for something good in the future. I think it’s safe to say we all desire something good in the future, right? And, I pray we are each confidently expecting good from God every day.

We each are invited to live with and in this Biblical hope!

But, yes, these are difficult days. Maybe more difficult than you and I have ever experienced. This pandemic has been a long season of uncertainty, of heartache, of uncommon circumstances. The thing is, consequently, it doesn’t appear to be ending any time soon.

But, this is no reason for despair!

As we shared the other day, God is with us. His light is shining in our lives. Even if the day feels and seems oh, so dark. Let’s keep focused on Him and His light and His hope in each day.

I did some searching and found some helpful scriptures that may aid us in this season. There’s nothing like God’s Word to encourage us! Right?! So, I believe these verses will spur us on, encourage our hearts, and assist us to remain living in hope in this uncommon, unusual season.
