Who Do You Say You Are??

by | Sep 29, 2015 | 31 Days Celebrating Who You Are

Who do you say you are??

Who do you say you areA strong athlete? A talented writer? A good cook?

A mom, wife, daughter? A dad, husband, son?

Are you a member of a certain club, group, or political party affiliation?

Do you describe yourself by your job, your religion, or your position in life?

Do you consider yourself an early riser or are you a night owl?

And digging a little deeper…

When you think of who you are, do uplifting and positive words come to mind, or do words filled with negativity and unworthiness appear?

(Sometimes for me, that depends on the day and which side of the bed I woke up on!)

Who do you say you are? I’d love to read your answer below.

No matter how you answered this question, I invite you join me on a journey. (I love having traveling buddies!)

A 31-day journey of celebrating who you are.

No by my words, however. But, by God’s.

By the title of this blog, you can guess where my faith lies and Who I put my faith in. I’m passionate about learning from God’s Word (The Bible), and seeking how I can apply it to my life. Studying scripture now for 19 years, if I’ve learned anything, I’ve learned God’s Words are true. Without question. And they apply to life now, just as much as they did to those living in Bible times.

So, for the entire month of October, we’re going to take a look at who God says you and I are in His Word. For 31 days straight. Beginning October 1.

Without condemnation. Without guilt. (We have enough of those on our own!)

Without judgment. Without pressure. Without striving, having to measure up, or feeling left out.

I believe we’ll be encouraged, uplifted, impacted, and stirred. I expect we’ll see God and ourselves in refreshing and unique ways. And I imagine new insights and realities will be revealed individually for each of us as we learn together.

Yes, together. You and I. Growing in God’s truth. Together. (I love together, don’t you??!!)

It’s going to be a great journey:

31 Days Celebrating Who You Are31 Days celebrating who you are

Stop back to be encouraged. All month long. Starting Thursday, October 1.

And for today, allow me to leave you with this truth:

You are precious to God, and you are precious to me.

Thank you for journeying through this life with me. I am honored to be your traveling buddy!

Much love,

Julie

(Through these #CelebratingWhoYouAre posts I’m joining in the #write31days challenge that happens each October for writers all across the world. It’s an exciting challenge that stretches, impacts, and grows the writer and his/her readers. Last year I wrote on 31 Days Loving God & Loving Others.)

Yes, we are His. Thank you for that reminder and truth, Julie. It is so easy to fall into the world’s definition of “me” and I don’t want to be just those things but rather His!
