Three years ago today...

Wow. Time sure does fly.

I remember the excitement of this, my first book, becoming available today back in 2023, and I`m still so excited about it today.

God has dome some awe-inspiring things through Right Now Matters, and this week as I sat with a group of women who are currently studying it, I saw Him again working behind the scenes through it.

I`m grateful today...
For God calling me and equipping me to write it.
For you who have already read it (please leave a review if you haven`t already).
For each woman who is living less distracted because of reading it.
And for the joy of celebrating today.

Friend, right now still matters.

Pick up your own copy or for a gift for someone else today.

What does your inner critic often say about you?

You have one... even if you don`t realize you do.

In Day 138 of Made for More we look at Psalm 139:17 and how God`s thoughts about us are precious, countless, and filled with love.

We don`t have to agree with self-criticism. Let`s agree with God, and what He thinks of us, instead.

Sometimes I can tell my mind has had enough input.

Too many tabs open.

Too many things fighting for my attention.

Too much jumping from one thing to another.

When this happens, I don’t necessarily need another productivity hack.

Sometimes I just need less.

Less noise.

Less intake.

Less switching back and forth.

And more attention to the person, task, or moment God has put right in front of me.

If your mind feels scattered, pick ONE of these and try it.

Save the rest for another day.

The pace of this world doesn`t look to be slowing down anytime soon.

As it speeds by around us, you and I can choose to notice the beauty right in front of us.

The leaves taking on a new fall hue.
The smile of someone we love.
The morning sun appearing over the horizon.

What beauty is right in front of you today? Share this to help another notice the beauty, too.

Just a regular Friday.

Nothing particularly exciting. Nothing out of the ordinary.

But I`ve been thinking lately about how much of our lives happen on days just like this one.

We tend to look forward to the big things. The vacations. The celebrations. The milestones. The special occasions.

And those are wonderful!

But what about all the days in between?

The days when we`re just going about our lives, doing the things we normally do?

These days are special, too.

Because they`re part of this one life God has given us. And He`s right here in the middle of every single one.

I don`t want to overlook the gift of an ordinary day just because nothing extraordinary is happening.

Today matters, too.

What`s one thing you`re thankful for about your "ordinary" life today?

What's one thing you're thankful for about your "ordinary" life today?

It`s not lost on me how God uses ordinary people... like me.. to carry out His will.

Three years ago I released my first book, Right Now Matters, and still today, women are being impacted by its message.

Not because of me, but because of the life experiences God took me though in learning how to live in the moment and stay present.

As I sat as a guest in this small women`s group today, my heart swelled with thankfulness and awe. It was an honor to be with these dear ladies as they study this book.

You can bet I`m praying for them... and all who read it.

Look up.

From the phone.

From the list.

From whatever has your mind three hours ahead of where your body is.

Look at the sky.

Look at the person talking to you.

Notice where you are.

Listen.

Pay attention.

This life keeps moving, even faster when we`re living distracted.

And I don’t want to miss it.

Put your phone down after you read this and notice three things around you. Feel free to share them below.

Right Now Reminder:

Whether it`s technology, our own thoughts, multitasking, focused on the past or fixated on the future, life is full of distractions.

And distractions like these can easily run and rule our lives... and then we miss what`s happening right in front of us.

Here`s a friendly reminder that this life is too important to live it distracted.

What`s one way you can rise above the distractions in your life today?
