Chocolate Drop Cookies

by | Jul 17, 2014 | desserts/sweets, recipes

One of my favorite cookies as a child is still one of my favorites today!

These are quick, easy and delicious. If you like chocolate, peanut butter and oats, you’ll love them! No baking is a bonus!

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup margarine
salt
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups quick oats

Combine first five ingredients in a medium sauce pan and boil for one minute. (Do not overcook.) Remove from heat. Add peanut butter and vanilla. Stir until melted. Pour over oats. Mix well and drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let stand until set.

Enjoy!

Yes!! Do you know how many times I made these when I lived in South Africa? With only a toaster oven to bake with, these were the perfect “no bake” treat. So. Delicious. 🙂

Jen, I love that! (And I love these cookies!) They are quite addicting, yet small enough to not feel guilty if you can restrain and only have one. 🙂 Have a great day, my friend!

These cookies became my favorite breakfast food this week. Oatmeal and peanut butter count, right?

Yum! Thanks for the recipe Julie. I especially love the no-bake part; I am definitely not a baker lol.
